A Superbill is a document which can be submitted to insurance providers for reimbursement. Superbills include:
-Provider’s License type
-Contact details of the provider
-Diagnosis code(s)
-Service procedure code(s)
-Provider’s Tax ID
Most insurance companies will reimburse mental health services when given a “Superbill”. Once a month, we can provide you with this superbill to give to your insurance to be reimbursed. Before going this route we recommend, you ask your insurance provider these questions:
-Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
-Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
-Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
-Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
-Can I be reimbursed for mental health services by submitting a superbill?
